Blog 4 Facebook

  • England Golf shows that they have a solid social media presence on all of the major platforms through their professionalism and from the number of followers. They stay updated on each of the platforms and constantly provide the latest news from within the organization. They are innovative as well. On Facebook they provide an easy way to join the organization online, donate, get involved in future events, and even make tee times! However, I believe England Golf could do a better job on Facebook by simply doing less. They provide too many posts. An average of 6 posts a day is too many. It overshadows the posts that they would actually like to stand out. More is not necessarily better. Quality over quantity. Scrolling through their page, I noticed that I skipped over four future events without even noticing them. This also means that they need to make their important posts stand out more. They could achieve this by giving a unique feature to their important posts and not to their typical posts. Providing pictures is always good, but maybe adding many emojis and colorful pictures to each important post would provide an interesting allure.
