First blog post

  • This post was released a while back (last summer), but I thought I would highlight it because of the important role I believe it serves. England Golf posted a few pictures of their past amateur champions that went on to become famous professional golfers on the PGA Tour. The first picture is of Nick Faldo who won in 1975. Then Paul Casey (2000), Danny Willett (2007), and most recently, Tommy Fleetwood (2010). I believe that showing appreciation of some of their most accomplished golfers that went through their organization benefits England Golf in many ways. It makes a sense of elitism within England Golf, attracts new attention to the organization, and gives the young players someone to look up to and strive to become. England Golf’s main purpose is to grow the game of golf across the UK. Proving that England Golf is a professional organization that helps to develop golfers into well-rounded players will grow support from the public and therefore continue to spread the game across the country.
